DESIGN TO BUILD PROCESS

Home Visit & Bid

The introductory stage is focused on a few key objectives:

  • Understanding your family’s goals for the space and how it will be used, including layout considerations such as walls, rooms, egress, and any bathroom needs

  • Breaking down labor and materials by trade to develop a detailed and accurate project proposal

  • Defining project inclusions, such as flooring selections, number of outlets, and fixture allowances

This phase ensures we establish a clear vision, scope, and budget from the very beginning.

Design and Layout

Once a client decides to move forward with the bid, they will meet with our architect to develop a detailed scope of work and comprehensive construction drawings. These plans serve as the foundation for the entire project, guiding each phase from material selections and permitting through final execution.

Selections

Most homeowners have a vision for how they want their space to feel—but bringing that vision to life can be overwhelming. Our selection process is designed to simplify those decisions, ensuring that every detail—from flooring and paint colors to cabinetry and finishes—comes together in a cohesive, well-designed space.

Whether you want hands-on guidance or just a little support along the way, we provide the resources and expertise to help you feel confident that your basement will turn out exactly as you envisioned.

Design Services

Core Projects

Design Services Include - Paint colors, flooring selections, and options. Guidance may be provided on vanity selections, stain colors, hardware finish, door and baseboard styles, and other standard room features.

Costs - $550 - Anything beyond standard room features will be billed at $50/hr.

Core Projects + Bathrooms

Design Services Include - Paint colors, flooring selections, and options. Guidance may be provided on vanity selections, stain colors, hardware finish, door and baseboard styles, and other standard room features.

Bathroom selections include the shower floor, shower walls, layout of hardware, and fixtures.

Costs - $650 - Anything beyond standard room features will be billed at $50/hr.

Custom Projects

Full service design through out the basement project. The design team works through the selection process starting at $700 plus $50/hr past 10 hours.

Demo, Waterproofing & Egress

This stage can vary depending on whether the space has been previously finished. Our approach prioritizes creating the time and access needed to properly identify and address any foundation or water concerns, ensuring your basement is built on a solid, lasting foundation and will stand the test of time.
